1988's Cybercop was a Toho production riding on the success of Toei/Bandai's various metal hero live action shows. The toys were produced by Takara, and featured some really nice design work that foreshadowed the character aesthetic that was going to previal in the 90's. The Cyber Bit series toys feature an articulated hero (or
anti-hero) with a cadre of support weapons. The toys can be accessories with separately sold available items.
Lucifer Bit is one of the more gimmicky toys from the Cyber Bit series. His flying weapon, the GigaMax, can transform into various
mode: backpack and sword, shield, and rifle. He has back mounted moveable cannons. The calves can be opened to expose vents that allow him to move at super speed. Finally, he has a mask that was removed at point in the story where he changed his ways, and became a good guy. Ah, Japanese sci-fi.
