Its learning computer actually reprograms itself to adapt to the cutting requirements of your yard. This not only conserves battery life and lengthens the durability of the electric motors, it also contributes to a healthier looking lawn.
Advanced Spiral Cut programming allows the LB3200 to concentrate, by spiraling outwards, from any area where it senses higher grass. This feature helps to assure an evenly cut lawn.
LawnBott LB3200 is able to cover areas up to 33,000 sq. ft. That represents approximately ¾ acre of lawn! And, it will also navigate slopes of up to 27°.
How does it work?
The LawnBott is a robot that automatically mows the grass in your yard.
It operates automatically, and autonomously by means of its intelligent computer and a perimeter cable. It can move freely within an enclosed area, detecting the faint signal transmitted by the perimeter cable located on the ground, defining the areas to be mowed; it can also work without a perimeter cable as working area is enclosed by a fence or small border at least 4 inches tall.
When it begins its work cycle, it leaves its docking station and starts mowing your yard in a random direction. It will mow in a straight line until it bumps into an obstacle, such as a tree or flower pot, or until it runs over its perimeter cable, then it stops, backs up, turns and takes off again. Additionally, the LawnBott has a smart spiral function where if the computer senses thicker or taller grass, it will begin to spiral outward from that area to even out the grass height. This added feature helps to eliminate any missed areas.
When the batteries start running low, or at the end of its cutting cycle, the mower will search out the perimeter cable and follow it back to its docking station to recharge. After charging, it heads back out on its own!

This robot is probably the most exciting thing that has happened on our street for a while!
My family lives on a small family farm in ouisiana and have generally mowed our good-sized lawn with a riding lawnmower. But recently the riding lawnmower has had many pr oblems which, it appeared, would cost a large sum of money to repair. We have known about the Robomower for several years, but did not get one because our riding lawnmower was doing the job fine. But in March of 2006, with the emergence of our riding mower’s problems, I began doing some research about buying a mower from Friendly Robotics. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the power costs were very low compared to today’s expensive prices to fill up a gas mower. The mower would be able to mow a significant portion of the lawn, reducing the amount of time it takes to mow in the summer. After much discussion and thought, Dad and I decided to give it a try. There were three reasons that we purchased the mower: it would be a wonderful educational project for the family, it would cost much less to power, and it would save precious time. I paid a percentage of the cost and promised to do the setup work. We bought our Robomower from RoboDirect, Inc. In retrospect, I am very glad we did this. The friendly folks there gave us free support, which we utilized several times, and even helped us get some free used stakes and wire. Two of the three zones we plan to have is finished, with the other well on track. I know I will appreciate the extra free time to do things that I have not had time to do (we all have those things). Besides that, this robot is probably the most exciting thing that has happened on our street for a while!
